HOW MANY WILL WE CONDEMN TO HELL IN 2006?
As we come to the end of another year I wonder what 2006 will hold. This year has been a year of birth pains. More natural disasters, more violent crimes, and exponential increase in methamphetamine use and related crimes, more anger and less love, a year of extremes. Why, because we are in the end days and it must happen. But the truth of the matter is that much of what is happening is our fault. I watch each day as ministries that had Christ as their foundation become lukewarm. Just this morning I watched a supposed man of God, who runs a "Christ" based ministry tell millions that "then you can find your own way to heaven". Do you get the impact of these words. This man who millions of unsaved listen to just told them "they can find their own way to heaven". He did not mention Jesus, God or the Holy Spirit. He did not mention repentance, holiness or living a Godly life. No he just told a nice story and said if this man could fulfill his dream to fly "then you can find your own way to heaven".
Jesus made it very clear when He said John 14:6 (NASB) "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me." I cannot find any where in the Bible that it says we can make our own way to heaven. In fact, it says the exact opposite that there is only one way to heaven and that is Jesus. The soft pedaling of the Gospel is the more the norm than the extraordinary.
Last week one of our lifetime citizens of Pinedale, died suddenly. He had his normal coffee at the local hang out in the morning and that afternoon he fell asleep at the wheel of his car and hit another car head on at 60 miles an hour. If you had asked him that morning if he would be back the next morning he would have said "YES". He did not know Jesus, so he was not ready to meet his end. I am not the Lord but if you believe the word of God he is in a very uncomfortable place right now.
Each year I watch the number of true followers of Jesus willing to preach the undiluted Gospel of Jesus Christ getting smaller and smaller. I cannot even count how many friends and colleagues I have lost or how many times I have been told I am too harsh in my teachings because I will not compromise the Gospel. But the truth is if you do not have Jesus as your personal Savior you are going to wake up in Hell the moment after your eyes close for the last time. Your religion will not save you. No matter what man says Jesus words will hold true on Judgement day "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me."
I ask you today how many people will be sent straight to HELL in 2006 by the words being spewed by false preachers today that claim there are many paths to heaven". The Bible makes it clear there is one God, one Faith, one Lord and one way to heaven. That is through an intimate relationship with Jesus and only Jesus.
I have lived in this world for 51 years, and I have seen and done many things, things that would turn your hair gray. I know how fragile human life is. If it were not for the Lord having a purpose for my life I would not be here today writing this. I have watched people wither away in nursing homes and seen people die in a instant. I have watched people in nursing homes die a death full of fear and anguish because they would not accept the Lord. I have seen people accept the Lord in their last days and die in total peace, having that assurance where they would be when their eyes opened again. I have witnessed people of many religions pass on, the only ones who died with a smile on their faces and peace in their hearts are those who knew Jesus. As one pastor once said "I don't care if you believe in HELL, God does and you're going if you don't accept Jesus."
Do you remember playing board games when you were a child. We always invented rules as we went. We had "take backs", if you had a bad move etc. you could take it back once and do it over. Some kids called it the "do over" rule. But I am here to inform you there are no "take backs or "do overs" in life after death. As the Bible says, Hebrews 9:27 (NLT) 27And just as it is destined that each person dies only once and after that comes judgment. It does not mention any "do overs." If when you close you eyes for the final time, Jesus in not your Savior and you have not had a relationship with Him you are doomed to an eternity in HELL my friend.
If you're a true follower of Jesus Christ will you give Him to others in 2006. Will you be one of the few that will preach the truth and not a watered down Gospel? Because if the Lord sends someone to you and you tell them that there are many paths to heaven you will be condemning both them and yourselves. Remember Jesus said Matthew 10:32-33 (NLT) 32"If anyone acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will openly acknowledge that person before my Father in heaven. 33But if anyone denies me here on earth, I will deny that person before my Father in heaven.
What are your personal plans for evangelism for 2006. We are in the end days, prophecies are being fulfilled at a record rate, the birth pains are increasing, the hearts of many grow cold, the world hates Christianity increasingly each day, the false prophets are spewing a diluted gospel at every corner and more people are being condemned to hell every day. Where will you stand in 2006 my friends, the lines are being drawn.
The world needs the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, will you be one to spread it 2006?
