The Darkness Comes
As the fabric of humanity unravels
Several people have asked me if hurricane Katrina is a "judgement from God Today I was watching the morning news and the reporter Harry Smith said it best. "The fabric of Humanity is unraveling!" (Harry Smith 9/1/05) This fits in so perfect with Jesus' words. Matthew 24:12 (NLT) 12Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold.
But, let me first start with a vision/dream that Mary was given a few years ago. "I truly believe that this dream was a look into the future. I had an extremely vivid dream about a huge tidal wave that was black and roiling with all sorts of vile filth. This tidal wave was moving across America, it had such filth and garbage in it that you could smell it before it came close. The most horrible thing about the dream was this; many professing Christians were overcome by this wave of filth. I saw numerous professing Christians who would be talking to each other and this tidal wave would roll over them and they would be engulfed, but they wouldn't even notice it. However, here is the good part there were Christians who were literally standing up for God's Holy Truth and who were shining brightly like beacons of light when the tidal wave came near them it could not overcome them it went around them, every step they took shined beacons of Holy light onto the path, every step they took literally became Holy Ground. They would not compromise God's Holy Truth, they were preaching repentance." Mary will tell you "This dream has been a daily reminder to me to stand for truth even when it is uncomfortable. "
Since this time Mary and I have been given may visions and dreams concerning what we consider future events. Most of these we never share because the Lord has not told us to. A while back I was fasting and praying for America. I was asking the Lord two things: What and why. Haven't you ever done this? I saw so many things happening in this country that truly worried me. Men and Women of God founded this country, no matter what certain people may say to the contrary. Don't let people try to convince you otherwise. I have done some extensive research into this and know our country was founded as "ONE NATION UNDER GOD!" When I was praying I got Jeremiah 2:11-13 (NLT) 11Has any nation ever exchanged its gods for another god, even though its gods are nothing? Yet my people have exchanged their glorious God for worthless idols! 12The heavens are shocked at such a thing and shrink back in horror and dismay, says the LORD. 13For my people have done two evil things: They have forsaken me-the fountain of living water. And they have dug for themselves cracked cisterns that can hold no water at all!
Now before you go off the deep end be truthful. America has taken God out of almost everything. We have exchanged the God of Living water for idols the can offer us nothing. We have taken prayer out of almost every place in America but the Church and if we are truthful most churches would not know what intercessory prayer was if it walked up and introduced itself. I remember when our daughter and her Bible study and prayer group were told by the school they could no longer meet in the school. So this little group of young kids meet faithfully each morning, rain, shine or snow at the school flag pole and had prayer before school. Besides the Israelites, America is the only country in history that has changed its God. We have left the Lord and God of creation for our own satisfaction of self!
I believe with all my heart that what happened on September 11th was just a window into what the future holds. I believe that for just one short time the Lord removed that hand of protection from this country and Wham! Think about it, if the hand of God had not still been in control 50,000 people could have died that day not the few thousand that did. Since that time we have seen a steady increase in the frequency in natural disasters. After 911 the battle cry of the Christians was 2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV) 14If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. But, did you see the America Christians do what this prayer says? 1) Humble yourselves, the "Christian" church today is more arrogant than ever 2) pray and seek my face. What is your prayer life like? 3) Turn from your wicked ways; the largest churches today do not even preach the cross, the blood of Christ, or repentance. Only when we do these things will He hear!
I have been asked over and over whether or not I think this last disaster is a judgement from God. I will leave you with 3 scriptures that the Lord gave me. The first scripture I received was given to me twice in one day. Proverbs 31:2-9(KJV) 2What, my son? and what, the son of my womb? and what, the son of my vows? 3Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings. 4It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink: 5Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted. 6Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts. 7Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more. 8Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction. 9Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy. This scripture is for the watchmen and pastors. We are to stay pure and true to the Lords words and not let the pleasures or worries of the world distract us. We are to preach the gospel and God's love to those who "are appointed to destruction." We are to become intercessors in prayer for those that are poor and needy. Notice it says "plead" the cause.
The second scripture I was given was Isaiah 33:10-16 (KJV) 10Now will I rise, saith the LORD; now will I be exalted; now will I lift up myself. 11Ye shall conceive chaff, ye shall bring forth stubble: your breath, as fire, shall devour you. 12And the people shall be as the burnings of lime: as thorns cut up shall they be burned in the fire. 13Hear, ye that are far off, what I have done; and, ye that are near, acknowledge my might. 14The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings? 15He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil; 16He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.
The final scripture that the Lord gave me was Isaiah 34:1-2 (KJV) 1Come near, ye nations, to hear; and hearken, ye people: let the earth hear, and all that is therein; the world, and all things that come forth of it. 2For the indignation of the LORD is upon all nations, and his fury upon all their armies: he hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the slaughter.
I leave it to you to decide whether or not this is a judgement from God. My advice my friend is that you get back to the basics of our faith! Jesus, Jesus, Jesus! Remember 2 chronicles 7:14. Humble yourselves before the Lord, bow down and worship Him, intercede for those who are poor and needy, truly seek his face not your needs, not your selfishness, turn from your wicked ways, repent and become holy as our Lord is holy. Then and only then our Lord might turn hear our prayers and restore this land.
As the fabric of humanity continues to unravel we the Lord’s people are the only ones who can help. But we cannot help if we are not in the place we need to be with the Lord. I cannot count how many "Christian" websites she found where the "Christians" on the site are saying, "what do we have to worry about, it did not happen to us" Matthew 24:12 (NLT) 12Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold.
It is your choice death or life.
