New Year's Resolution??
As we start this new year I just want to take a moment and echo Christ's words John 13:34 - 35(NLT) 34So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. 35Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples. I am not the mushy kind of person but I wanted to say how much everyone at His Will Ministry loves you. I think so many times that if the Lord had not brought each and every one you to this ministry we would not be able to do the things we do. Thanks!
As we look toward the new year we want to stay the course that the Lord has given this ministry. The Lord called us to be watchmen for the world and to speak when He gives us a message to speak. He has also given us the Bible ministry, radio ministry, internet ministry etc. Each and every one of our overseas partners mean so much to us. We love you all so much and please be patient with this old pastor the Lord isn't finished with him yet.
I was talking to the manager of our only grocery store the other day. He took me by surprise when he started telling me how dark the world was growing. In almost a warning tone he went on about how the darkness is over coming this country. Sometimes people may think I am harsh in my teachings, but I have to preach and teach the words that the Lord gives me. My friends we are in the end days it may not be in mine or your life times, but if we are totally honest with each other we have to admit just like this gentleman that we see the darkness coming. When I talked to him it reminded me of Mary's dream/vision of a couple years ago. She saw and even smelled a black seething cloud of darkness over coming the earth. The cloud had a life of its own. She could feel the evil that had one purpose, to consume every thing. She watched as the darkness even consumed Christians. She watched as they were just covered by the darkness but did not even notice it. They were no different than the world. As she felt a deep desperation for those being consumed she noticed a group of Christians that glowed. A group of Christians that were different from the world. They were shining forth the light of Jesus. The darkness approached, them but could not cover them. Finally the darkness had to go around them, But everywhere they went their light was shining through the darkness. Mary went to prayer and basically the Lord showed her that the darkness was the prevailing evil in the world that was even dragging in lukewarm Christians that did not have a relationship with Jesus. All we have to do is look around and see all the birth pains. The world we live in grows darker and darker every day. You know it is very obvious when a manager of a grocery store in a town of 1200 people notices it.
Later Mary was in prayer about the ever increasing number of people falling away from the Lord. The Lord showed her a vision of the earth with a black cloud over it. The cloud spread over the entire earth and the Lord spoke to her about how this is what she had seen. The darkness was consuming the people of the world and lukewarm Christians.
Please my friends make your number one New Years resolution to work on your personal relationship with your savior Jesus Christ. As this darkness grows stronger and stronger the only thing that will keep us on the course our Lord wants for our lives it that relationship with Jesus. David a man after God's own heart had it right. Psalm 91:1-2(KJV) He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. You won't have to worry about the coming darkness if you abide in that secret place.
You will never fully understand the love and concern I have for you. It is very much like the love a father has for his child. It is like the love that our Lord had for the Pharisees. After He had just ripped them up one side and down the other for their legalism He then said. Matthew 23:37-38 (NLT) 37"O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones God’s messengers! How often I have wanted to gather your children together as a hen protects her chicks beneath her wings, but you wouldn’t let me. 38And now look, your house is left to you, empty and desolate. Jesus wept for them because He loved them so, but he knew that their legalism had condemned them. Their beliefs would not let them have that relationship with the Lord. Just like today so many of us are condemned by our beliefs. Don't get caught in the same place the Pharisees were. This year open your heart more than ever to the Lord. Lets us make it our goal to have a closer relationship with Jesus and to love one another in Christ's love.
Remember if my thoughts are harsh, it is because I love you and want you to share in the relationship I have with Jesus. My friends even I must continually strive to have a closer relationship with my best friend Jesus. It is the only thing that will get you to heaven. Lets believe what Jesus said: John 14:6 (NLT) 6Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me." and strive to truly understand these words in 2006.
