One of the things this old pastor has seen coming in this country has been the "politically correct" movement.   Along with that PC movement is the movement to make Jesus Politically correct.  I do know if any of you realize it but Jesus was one of the most politically incorrect men of His time.  Let's take a look at how Jesus saw the "religious" leaders of the day.   Matthew 23:27-36 (NLT)  "How terrible it will be for you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs-beautiful on the outside but filled on the inside with dead people's bones and all sorts of impurity.  You try to look like upright people outwardly, but inside your hearts are filled with hypocrisy and lawlessness.  "How terrible it will be for you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you build tombs for the prophets your ancestors killed and decorate the graves of the godly people your ancestors destroyed.  Then you say, 'We never would have joined them in killing the prophets.'  "In saying that, you are accusing yourselves of being the descendants of those who murdered the prophets.  Go ahead. Finish what they started. Snakes! Sons of vipers! How will you escape the judgment of hell? I will send you prophets and wise men and teachers of religious law. You will kill some by crucifixion and whip others in your synagogues, chasing them from city to city.  As a result, you will become guilty of murdering all the godly people from righteous Abel to Zechariah son of Barachiah, whom you murdered in the Temple between the altar and the sanctuary.  I assure you, all the accumulated judgment of the centuries will break upon the heads of this very generation."   Ouch! does not sound politically correct to me.  But, in this world of making everything politically correct down to hundred year old novels, we must make Jesus politically correct right?  Wrong!  We must never soften the gospel of Christ. 
        From the time of the Hippies and their search for "spiritual" awakening we have seen a change in America.  We have slowly gone from a Christian nation to a pagan nation.  The real acceleration was marked at 911, when this country was attacked by radical Muslims wanting to destroy the infidel, the great white satan.   The Sunday after 911 I preached to a full house.  New people, people that were not regular attendees,  even people off the street.  They were eager for the answers to what was happening.  That Sunday the Lord gave me a special message for them.  Oh! How I wanted to reach them! Oh! How I wanted to give them hope!   You see I was just the part time associate pastor,  so, I could not get the board or head pastor to take things seriously.  Two weeks later the church was back down to its meager gatherings.  I thought they had missed the boat but, this was a country wide and soon to be a world wide happening.  I had, like many others, seen 911 as a "Wake Up America"  call from the Lord.  But, now 6 years later I realize it was a much more sinister event brought about by old slue foot himself.
        Soon after 911 what we saw in the  United States and shortly afterward, in the world was a generic fear of Muslims.   What this brought about was an attempt by the lukewarm Christians to find a safe common ground.  This was easy for most religions and lukewarm Christians because they had stopped stressing the Blood of Christ and John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth, the life and no one comes to the Father except through me!"   The common ground they found a  was generic non-threatening god.  Notice the small "g"!  This is because the god they follow is not the God I follow.  My God gave His only son Christ Jesus so that all who believe in Him will have eternal life.
        After 911 George W. Bush started the ball rolling with his comments at the National Prayer Breakfast a wholly Christian event started in 1953. He stated "Every religion is welcomed in our country; all are practiced here. Many of our good citizens profess no religion at all. Our country has never had an official faith."  No disrespect to President Bush but he needs to take a history lesson.  This country was founded by Christian men as a Christian country because of religious persecution in Brittan.  Just do some deep research and you cannot miss it.   But then on February 2, in 2005 when the Muslim King of Jordan rose to gave the benediction at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, thousands of evangelical Christians rose with him to pray as he petitioned  Allah for his blessings on the assembled crowd. It was bad enough when the breakfast was opened in prayer by an Orthodox Jew who has rejected Jesus Christ as the Messiah, the crowd of evangelicals bowed duly and prayed to a God that did not include their Savior. But, in 2005 the attendees all but ignored Jesus Christ and give the benediction prayer to a Muslim for the first time.  King Abdullah told the audience of about 3,000 that the three religions - Islam, Christianity and Judaism - have important points of consensus, beginning with the belief in one God. Additionally, he said, the three religions demand both humility and strength in their followers and require them to live lives of conscience, to make a positive difference and to honor and love their families. He called extremism a "political movement under religious cover [whose] adherents want nothing more than to pit us against each other, denying all that we have in common."
        Did you get that?  If you and I as Christians hold to the Bible that Jesus is the only way to God then by King Abdullah and the nearly 3000 attendees we are among the extremists.   All this old pastor can say is Hallelujah and Praise the Lord.  I would rather the world see me as an extremist and wake up the moment after in heaven than have Jesus tell me at judgment day "Sorry I never knew you!"  
        Let's just take a short look at the Qur'an to see what it says about love and tolerance toward those who do not believe as the Muslims do.  Qur'an 98:6  "Those who reject (Truth), among the People of the Book and among the Polytheists, will be in Hell-Fire, to dwell therein (for aye). They are the worst of creatures."  Qur'an 9:5. Then when the Sacred Months (the 1st, 7th, 11th, and 12th months of the Islamic calendar) have passed, then kill the Mushrikun {unbelievers} wherever you find them, and capture them and besiege them, and prepare for them each and every ambush. But if they repent and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat {the Islamic ritual prayers}), and give Zakat {alms}, then leave their way free. Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. Qur'an 8:39. And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allah) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allah Alone [in the whole of the world]. But if they cease (worshipping others besides Allah), then certainly, Allah is All-Seer of what they do.  Now I am sure your first thought will be that is not believed by all Muslims!  It is only the radical ones.  Let's look at a couple examples of mainstream Muslims. The following is from the blog of a muslim housewife in Florida.  Question: "You live in Florida in the United States and you use the word "kaffir" to refer to the people who live next door to you? I'm not trying to be rude but I'm just curious as to why you would do that..." Her answer: The kaffir (kuffur) are the enemies of islam. They are less than human unless they revert to the one true way. It is acceptable to be rude to them - regardless of where you live, for they are less than us.  On one  recent mainstream news magazine the host dedicated his show to exploring the Muslim religion and the radical call for Jihad.  He had several of what would be termed peaceful Muslim moderates.   When he asked each one about Jihad and the idea of ridding the world of the infidels.  He got the same answer; "They did not believe that."  But, then he asked what would happen to them in a Jihad?  He again got the same answer: "if we do not follow the orders to kill the infidels we will be killed as infidels!"  I cannot speak for you but I do not see a lot of love going on here.   Yet, in America a Muslim is given the right to interrupt school, work etc. to have their prayer time three times a day toward Mecca.  But, a Christian is banned from praying in Jesus name in any public forum.  Why is that, do you wonder, or have you just buried your head in the sand?  It is because the world is afraid of Muslims and will allow them privileges because of that fear.  The true followers of Jesus know that they fear only the Father in heaven not man or any of his religions. 

        Matthew 10:33-35 (NLT) 33But if anyone denies me here on earth, I will deny that person before my Father in heaven.  I know you are going to tell me you have never denied Jesus, YET!    If you take Mohammad from the Muslims religion you would still have Islam.  In fact if you take all of the men from the manmade religions of the world you would still have their ideas and philosophy.  But, lets just take a look at what would happen to the Christian without Jesus.
        Without Jesus the whole story line of the Bible goes away.  From the beginning to the end the Bible is all about the fall and rectifying it. The Old Testament all points to one moment in history where mans redemption comes.  Without Jesus none of it makes since.
        Without Jesus our guilt remains and we have no hope of forgiveness:
1 John 1:9 (NLT) 9But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong.
        Without Jesus we cannot get to God: 1 Timothy 2:5 (NLT)5For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and people. He is the man Christ Jesus.   Or Jesus' own words: John 14:6 (NLT) 6Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.  We have no intercessor without Jesus!
        Without Jesus we are all condemned to an eternity in Hell:   Acts 4:12 (NLT) 12There is salvation in no one else! There is no other name in all of heaven for people to call on to save them."  Or again in Jesus' words: John 4:13-14 (NLT) 13Jesus replied, "People soon become thirsty again after drinking this water. 14But the water I give them takes away thirst altogether. It becomes a perpetual spring within them, giving them eternal life."
        Without Jesus we do not have a prayer of having our prayers answered:          John 14:12-14 (NLT) 12"The truth is, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. 13You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, because the work of the Son brings glory to the Father. 14Yes, ask anything in my name, and I will do it!
        Without Jesus I have lost my truest friend:  John 15:15 (NLT)  15I no longer call you servants, because a master doesn't confide in his servants. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me.

        Do you understand my friends?  Jesus was never and will never be politically correct.  Jesus expects us to change and become more like Him every day.  Let's look at what Jesus wants John 13:34 (NLT)  34So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples."   What Islam wants: Qur'an 9:5. Then when the Sacred Months (the 1st, 7th, 11th, and 12th months of the Islamic calendar) have passed, then kill the Mushrikun {unbelievers} wherever you find them, and capture them and besiege them, and prepare for them each and every ambush.
        Don't let the lukewarm religions of the day take Jesus from you.  If you do my friends you will be in the unenviable position as Jesus said. 33But if anyone denies me here on earth, I will deny that person before my Father in heaven.  Or Matthew 5:13 (NLT) 13"You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it useful again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.

        Just like the Christians in the beginning we too live in a pagan world.  Just like the Christians in the beginning we are being told we are too radical, we are too narrow minded, we are too exclusive.  Just like the Christians in the beginning we too will face persecution for speaking the name of Jesus.  Just like the Christians in the beginning we will be hated by the world and in many areas are already hated and being tortured and killed.  Jesus said it 2000 years ago  John 15:18-21 (NLT) 18"When the world hates you, remember it hated me before it hated you.  19The world would love you if you belonged to it, but you don't. I chose you to come out of the world, and so it hates you. 20Do you remember what I told you? 'A servant is not greater than the master.' Since they persecuted me, naturally they will persecute you. And if they had listened to me, they would listen to you! 21The people of the world will hate you because you belong to me, for they don't know God who sent me.
        I cannot speak for you my friends but I have no intention of making my Jesus softer, quieter, or politically correct to  pacify someone's guilty conscience.  I would rather die like the Apostle Peter being crucified upside down on a cross than do that.    How about you my friends?
