Matthew 7:15 - 16 (NLT) 15"Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep, but are really wolves that will tear you apart. 16You can detect them by the way they act, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit. You don't pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles.
Matthew 24:24-25 (NLT) 24For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great miraculous signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God's chosen ones.
25See, I have warned you.
Luke 21:8-9 (NLT) 8He replied, "Don't let anyone mislead you. For many will come in my name, claiming to be the Messiah and saying, 'the time has come!' But don't believe them. 9And when you hear of wars and insurrections, don't panic. Yes, these things must come, but the end won't follow immediately."
When I was a kid I was a nerd. I was not one of the popular kids. I was not one of the trouble makers. I was just a middle of the road kid. In the sixties there was a show called "Lost in Space" that I loved. It was like many of the family shows in the sixties, hokey but fun. There was boy just about my age and he was like me always putting his nose where it did not belong. The difference was I had a mother that some days wanted to kill me, but my dad would say "Sally leave him alone he is only a boy!" William, the character in the show had a robot to help protect him. The only line I remember from the show is when William was just about to get in trouble the robot would say " warning Will Robinson, Warning, Warning!" and just like me Will would never listen.
That is what I see in the church today. There are many watchman that have been called by the Lord to show forth the light and cry fowl, warning, warning oh Christian, but no one listens. They are labeled radicals, fanatics, crazies, etc. I cannot speak for you but I never thought I would live long enough to see "Godly men" that actually claim to be Jesus. In fact there is one preaching that claims to be both Christ and the anti-Christ. Figure that one out if you can.
People open your eyes and realize we live in the days that Jesus spoke of above. In the last 50 years we have seen an exponential rise in the number of false doctrines being preached. For nearly 1600 years the Roman Catholic church held the title for the most false doctrines. But in the last 50 to 100 years the mainstream Christian church has far over shadowed the Roman Catholic church on false religions and doctrines. It began slowly with minor groups being created based on some diluted teaching of their leader. Then it seeped into the mainstream Christian dominations in the form of a new word from the Lord. A new way to do things. A new position to be in. Warning Christians, Warning, Warning. We live in the end days and must, again I say must test everything by the word of God.
I will be honest I have lost more "Christian" friends by simply pointing out something false or wrong in their thinking. No I do not go in like superman and Bible beat them until the fall or run. I simply ask them to support their ideas in the Word of God. I simply ask them to give me the answer from the simple test. God's pure and trustworthy words. One of two things will usually happen. They will either give me one scripture totally out of context to support their whole thesis or more commonly quote their doctrine and then brush me off as fanatic. But, they never, I repeat never provide a Biblical justification for their beliefs.
For us watchman and watchwomen that God have been pulled kicking and screaming from the main stream religions it is no problem to see. That is to see what these false teachings are doing to God's people. But, for those involved in the false teachings and doctrines it has become a way of life. It is their safety net. They fall back on mans teachings to defend their stance and usually say that these great leaders have studied the word more than you and I. They know what they are talking about. Guess what friends, God's word does not require a PhD to understand. God's word was written by common people and for common people. The only thing you need to understand the written word is wisdom and James says
James 1:5 (NLT) 5If you need wisdom-if you want to know what God wants you to do-ask him, and he will gladly tell you. He will not resent your asking. I just cannot find in this verse or any other verse in the Bible that we need some special education or experience to understand the Word of God.
So do you wonder how and why these false doctrines so easily find acceptance in the modern church today? There is only one word to describe it. Laziness! Yep, Laziness. Christians have become lazy in God's word. The original purveyor of false doctrines the Roman Catholic church even went so far as to hold all their masses in Latin and tell their sheep that they were just too dumb to understand God's word. Only the priest could understand the word of God. Today's purveyors of the false doctrines use basically the same line but, with a sick twist. They say " The Lord has shown me that God is doing a new thing." I always have to ask Why? But, am I the only one that does? I will be 53 years old next month. I have been in the ministry for over 30 years and I can tell you my weird-o-doctrine meter is pegged at maximum and my weird-o-doctrine alarm is going off constantly anymore. Just in my lifetime I have seen a exponential explosion of weird and false doctrines. Why? Because Christians have shifted their focus from holiness, righteousness, working for the Lord to the what's in it for me route. The modern Christian is more concerned with experience of the moment.
When the Roman Catholic Church spread its form of false religion they did it by the grand appearance of being holy and Godly with all the gold, glitter and stained glass. The Sheep just assumed they must be of God "because they look holy" and followed blindly. The modern purveyor of the false doctrines goes right to the greed center of the human. Sow your seed to meet your need. Speak it out and God will give it to you. God is love and will not condemn a good person for their sin. God wants you to have your best life now. If your purpose driven in your life God will reward you. Thou are loosed woman of God. I could go on and on but do you see how each and every false doctrine is centered on you, you, you! They are not centered on Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.
My friends please I am not asking but, I implore you to search the Word of God daily for the truth. Don't get sucked into the self-centered gospel and doctrine of today. Study the word day in and day out. Test all things against the Word of God. My Father in heaven wants His son glorified not me. We are surrounded by false prophets, false teachers and false christs. Test, test, test before you are turned over to your delusions and it is too late to return. The darkness comes and the evil is covering the world. Do not let it catch you unaware.

15Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
